My experience eating at the Tozi restaurant in Victoria can only be imagined as what it feels like to eat in the middle of Italy.

Tozi offers Italian style tapas dishes and sharing plates whilst giving you the experience of dining in a luxurious atmosphere.

My best friend and I headed to the deluxe restaurant on Saturday evening to experience the dinner menu, and we were absolutely delighted from start to finish.

From the moment I entered Tozi, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that exuded fine dining and modern elegance, whilst still feeling welcomed in by the buzzy chatter.

The Resident:

The chic and stylish décor combined with the huge projector showing what looked like vintage Italian films set the scene for my envision of Italy.

Our server for the night – Matteo – was extremely attentive and kind throughout our dinner at Tozi – he took us through the tantalizing array of Italian options on the menu and recommended the best cocktails to taste.

Like the true foodies we are, and giving the enticing dishes on the menu, we decided to get a range of dishes to try and taste.

The Resident:

We chose the Calamari fritti, Avocado, parmesan, radish, and baby gem salad to start with – both options were beautifully presented and bursting with flavours.

For our main tapas, we chose the Buffalo ricotta ravioli with black truffle, the Maccheroni, aubergine, tomato, basil pesto and smoked ricotta, and the Baby chicken, roasted potatoes, and chilli.

The homemade pasta dishes were nothing short of exceptional.

The Resident:

The truffle raviolo was a dish made from the gods (the superb chefs) - delicate, melt-in-your-mouth mini dumplings coated in a rich truffle sauce that was pure indulgence.

The depth of flavours in each dish showcased the chef's expertise and passion for Italian cuisine.

The service at Tozi was impeccable, with staff members who were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely enthusiastic about serving customers- Martel especially ensured that our dining experience was flawless from start to finish.

The Resident:

The dessert selection was the cherry on top of a perfect meal.

I chose the pistachio tiramisu – a classic done right, with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and luscious mascarpone, and my friend chose the creamy cake, Amalfi lemon delice – both desserts were priced at £9.75 each.

For the wide range of tasty dishes available combined with the location and the beautiful atmosphere, I personally think the dishes were a reasonable price.

The Resident:

Granted, a little more than a trip to an Italian chain restaurant, but you get a unique, five-star experience and leave feeling more than satisfied. I can’t wait for my next visit.
