A top celebrity chef and restaurateur is set to open a new deli and restaurant in Hampstead later this year.

Yotam Ottolenghi’s latest neighbourhood deli and restaurant is due to open on Rosslyn Hill mid-December.

It will be open seven days a week and will cater to every meal, from coffee, pastries and hot breakfasts in the morning  to a la carte dining with cocktails for dinner.

The venue will also serve signature Ottolenghi salads for lunch from the salad counter, and comes with window displays of cakes and pastries and a 26-cover terrace.

Ottolenghi Hampstead will be the group’s eighth deli and restaurant, alongside NOPI and ROVI, across London neighbourhoods including Notting Hill and Liverpool Street.

Ottolenghi Hampstead will open at 32-34 Rosslyn Hill, NW3.

This announcement follows the news that the Hampstead and Highgate area will welcome another new restaurant.

Founders of north London’s Fink’s cafes are due to imminently open standalone restaurant, Saltine, in Highbury.

The restaurant’s soft launch starts on October 25, which will see diners receive 50 per cent off their food bill until November 1.

Saltine will be a modern neighbourhood restaurant with ex-St John Marylebone chef Phil Wood overseeing the kitchen, which will be open for lunch and dinner.

Dishes will be contemporary and seasonal, and will include dishes such as fried stracciatella and anchovy sandwiches for snacks, and cured bream with fennel seed saltine, little gem, cod cheeks and green goddess, and pumpkin scapece with hazelnuts and parmesan for starters.

Mains include slow roast lamb with braised wax beans and green anise, pigeon with corn, miso butter and hazelnuts, and mackerel with spigarello and chickpeas.

Find Saltine at 11 Highbury Park N5 1QJ.
