Bromley FC is inviting fans to celebrate its historic promotion victory with an open-top bus parade in Bromley Town Centre.

This follows the team's triumph in the National League promotion final at Wembley, which now propels them into the English Football League for the first time in the club's history.

On Sunday, May 5, the close match that saw a 2-2 deadlock after extra time but Bromley FC beat Solihull Moors 4-3 on penalties, earning them their well-deserved promotion to League Two in the English Football League come next season.

The open-top bus will begin its route at Bromley FC grounds on Hayes Lane on Saturday, May 11.

It will then travel through Hayes Road, Westmoreland Road, the High Street past Bromley South Station, and finish at the Elmfield Road entrance to The Glades.

The team is expected to arrive at midday at The Glades in the town centre and it is expected that celebrations there will end around 1.30pm.

After, the team will return to Hayes Lane Stadium where supporters will join them at Broomfields to continue the celebrations until late.

A spokesperson at Bromley FC said: “It is an incredible time for the club, and we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received throughout the whole season, including Sunday’s win at Wembley.

“It is so great to have this opportunity to bring these celebrations back to Bromley and we thank everyone all those who have supported us over the years leading to this remarkable time in the club’s history.”

Leader of the council, Councillor Colin Smith said: “This has been a seismic achievement for the club and an unforgettable experience for everybody who attended the match which will forever live in our memories."

“I know that many residents will be eager to take this opportunity to share in the club’s celebrations and salute the team for their amazing victory."
