1 Mother’s Day Roast at Craft London, North Greenwich
Stevie Parle and the team at Craft London is hosting its first ever Sunday roast to celebrate Mother’s Day on 11 March 2018. This one-off menu will feature seasonal British ingredients sourced as locally as possible. The day’s set menu will include a choice of beef with a Yorkshire pud, sauerkraut and gravy; chicken with leeks and bread sauce; catch of the day with lentils and wild garlic sauce, or a vegetarian roast cauliflower with Spenwood and flaked barley (all served with roasties and greens). All mums will be treated to a special jar of Craft’s homemade honey to take home, and why not treat mum to a pre or post-lunch tipple at the 360-degree rooftop bar with views of the Thames and Canary Wharf? £30 for two courses, £35 for three.

2 Free Rose Syrup Bellini at Spring, Somerset House
Skye Gyngell’s restaurant, Spring, located in the New Wing of Somerset House, is usually closed on Sunday, but will be opening especially for Mothering Sunday on 11 March, from 12-2.30pm. At the beautiful, elegant Spring – perfect for mums who appreciate a feminine touch when it comes to decor – the food is produce-driven and celebrated for its conviviality. While enjoying the critically-acclaimed a la carte menu – which features dishes like grilled lamb with sprouting broccoli, sourdough, chilli and herbs (£32), and roasted trout with preserved lemon, fennel, crème fraîche and chilli (£30) – each mother will be treated to a complimentary Rose Syrup Bellini topped with a candied French rose petal.

For mums that brunch, Galvin HOP in Spitalfields – the ‘pub deluxe’ that won Best Pub in the City in the inaugural Square Mile Pub Awards last year – is serving a special Mother’s Day Brunch from 11.30am–5.30pm. The brunch including classic dishes such as crushed avocado with poached eggs on rye bread (£8.50), and buttermilk pancake with cream, berries and maple syrup (£6.50), or opt for something more substantial like the top sirloin of Cumbrian beef with fried egg and chips (£19.50). 5 Some Mothers Do Have ‘Em at Churchill Theatre, Bromley
For mums who may prefer to laugh than feast, what better way to treat them this Mother’s Day than a trip to the theatre to see Some Mothers Do Have ‘Em. Everyone’s favourite 1970s classic TV comedy is running from 13-17 March at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, staring Joe Pasquale as the loveable accident-prone Frank Spencer, alongside Sarah Earnshaw as his wife Betty and Susie Blake as his disapproving mother-in-law, Mrs Fisher. Two Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze at The Connaught will serve up an indulgent five-course Sunday roast this Mother’s Day. Hélène Darroze was named Veuve Clicquot World’s Best Female Chef 2015, and from the food to the surroundings, the restaurant is a feast for the senses. Exquisite dishes include crispy skin and chicken liver mouse; roasted chicken stuffed under the skin with foie gras, and corn tortilla stuffed with chicken confit leg.
