LONDON’S FIRST SPIRIT SHOW COMES TO ISLINGTON

London’s very first Spirit Show, featuring premium and boutique spirits from around the world, heads for Islington Business Design Centre in December 2016 – it’s the perfect place to get into the Christmas ‘spirit’!

‘With Christmas just around the corner, what better way to start the festivities than a chance to indulge yourself in the wonderful world of spirits?’ asked show director Geraldine Reeve.

‘We’ve had a fantastic response from exhibitors both great and small. At the show we have household names alongside small producers our guests will never have heard of but who produce incredible craft premium spirits.’

The Spirit Show, taking place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 December 2016, will also feature a series of workshops hosted by world spirits experts Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley, regular contributors to The Whisky Magazine, Olive Magazine, Channel 4 and The Telegraph.

‘Joel and Neil will host a series of masterclasses across the two days including Five Spirits You May Have Heard of but Never Tried, Blend Your Own Gin, World Whiskies Masterclass and Vodkas from Across The World,’ added Geraldine.

The Spirit Show is the perfect way to get into the ‘spirit’ of Christmas!

Big names at The Spirit Show include Berry Bros & Rudd, Deliveroo and Fentimans, but guests will be intrigued by products such as Tamdhu – an historic Speyside Whisky brand revived just three years ago under new ownership and the ‘Can-Dhu-Spirit’ slogan intended to recall the brand’s origins as one of the most innovative whiskies in the world.

Plus, Elephant Gin will donate 15% of the price of every bottle sold to protect elephants from poachers and threats to their historic habitat.

The Spirit Show is a great way to kick off the Christmas Season, stock up your festive drinks cabinet and buy Christmas gifts for your loved ones

Never heard of Cachaça? It’s claimed to be the most popular distilled spirit in Brazil. There’s a first chance to try a 100 year old brand – Zeca de Matos – launched just this year into the UK. Another curiosity is Curio – a Cornish Gin gaining a cult following across the UK.

Described as ‘London’s most mischievous bar group’, The London Cocktail club will be offering a range of their legendary innovative and exciting cocktails created specifically for the Spirit Show.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a delicious meal at a dedicated Street Food Village.

‘The Spirit Show is genuinely something new and something different,’ said Geraldine. ‘We think it’s going to be one of the best days out in London, a great way to kick off the Christmas Season, stock up your festive drinks cabinet and buy Christmas gifts for your loved ones.’

Standard tickets are £40; premium tickets are £65 (including fast track entry, access to VIP speakeasy, a complimentary cocktail mixology class, personal shopping service and ‘Shop and Drop’ facility). See TheSpiritShow.co.uk or call 020 8801 2019
