The Fan Museum in Greenwich is offering a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea on Sunday 6 March in the Orangery, an enchanting room overlooking a ‘secret’ Japanese-style garden. As well as the traditional sandwiches, tea and scones, there will be a selection of speciality cakes including Red Velvet, as well as Lavender and Champagne macaroons. £12 per person. 2 Mother’s Day menu at Locale, Blackheath
There’s a special Mother’s Day menu on offer at the sumptuous Locale in Blackheath. Choose from a range of six starters, including the homemade Burrata and sun-dried tomato ravioli with fresh tomato sauce and sauté mussels with chorizo, garlic and tomato with toasted focaccia. Among the mains on the £29.95 three-course menu is a full Sunday roast with all the trimmings. The desserts – which include a chocolate and hazelnut brownie with vanilla custard and a rhubarb panna cotta – look pretty irresistible too.

4 Afternoon tea at Eltham Lodge
Enjoy an afternoon tea in the grand surroundings of Eltham Lodge, a 17th century Grade I listed house overlooking 110 acres of beautiful parkland.
