Ministry Does Fitness Heads for London’s ‘Miami Beach’

Backyard Cinema is teaming up with Ministry of Sound’s Ministry Does Fitness for an epic day of fitness and frolics at Backyard Cinema’s Miami Beach in Elephant & Castle

Yogis will feel the sand between their toes as they downward dog to the rising sun (on a cinema screen), the Miami Beach body blitz HIIT sessions will put fitness fanatics to the test, and then the whole sweaty crowd can let loose as Ministry of Sound live DJs play a beach set – all under some serious disco lights.

Ministry Does Fitness at Backyard Cinema’s Miami Beach takes place on Saturday 9 September and each class is £15 (yoga mats provided). Here’s how the day is shaping up:

10am Disco Flow: Get down and funky with this creative disco practise. Yoga flow with a disco spin, you’ll connect to your breath and the beat of the music, leaving you feeling strong, supercharged and inspired by the 70s vibe.

11am Surf’s Up Yoga: Surf’s Up Yoga moves to the wave of your breath. Go with the flow and surrender with this creative and strong practise that’ll leave you feeling connected and free.

12PM & 1PM Backyard Body Blitz: This will be a big-beat sweatfest on the beach like no other. With live DJs, this HIIT x Strength x Party mash-up is all rolled into one fun 45-minute fitness experience.

Backyard Cinema’s Miami Beach sits within the new Italian street food market, Mercato Metropolitano, in Elephant & Castle SE1, where ticket holders can grab an Italian brunch post classes. Featuring boutique coffee shops, pizza joints or just the chance to sit down after a hard going HIIT sessions, your Saturday is sorted.

Backyard Cinema is the first permanent themed cinema in London with an exciting selection of seasons planned throughout the year, treating customers to a different experience every time.
