It’s that time of year when many of us swap the pub for the gym or a yoga class, but how does one maintain one’s social circle without heading for the bar? Agua Bathhouse & Spa in the Mondrian London at Sea Containers on the South Bank has the answer – London’s first ever social spa evening
Inspired by the heritage and community spirit found in Roman spa culture, the new Spa Social at the Tom Dixon-designed Agua Bathhouse & Spa offers a relaxing, social evening for you to relax and unwind with friends after a stressful day at work.
Taking place on the third Tuesday of every month, guests will be free to roam the modern bathhouse from 6.30pm-9pm for £65pp, which includes a mudpack, a 10-minute head, neck and shoulder massage, two glasses of Thomson & Scott Skinny Champagne per person and a nourishing Sea Containers dinner bowl, to ensure you don’t go hungry! A selection of herbal teas are also on offer for those sticking firmly to #DryJanuary.
Mudpacks can be self-applied in Agua’s steam rooms and washed off underneath the rain showers. You can then spend the rest of the evening in the spa lounge (pictured above), where the air is infused with Annee De Mamiel’s famed Altitude Oil, a multi-tasking elixir that helps clear the mind and boost the immune system.
We can all do with a bit of help when it comes to retreating from outside sources of stress, anxiety and exhaustion and this monthly ritual – taking place on the third Tuesday of every month – is the ultimate treat for those looking to get away from it all while catching up with friends.
