1 The Shed and The Rabbit
Acclaimed Chelsea restaurant Rabbit and its sister venue in Notting Hill, The Shed, are offering a vegan only menu to run alongside their traditional meaty option. The vegan menu is created for those not wishing to tuck into turkey but crave some yuletide treats nonetheless. The vegan festive feast will include endive with artichoke mud and thyme, beetroot crisps with pear and sorrel and an oak smoked potato with quince. The menu goes on to include sharing plates of black truffle and manor farm cheddar fondue, comice pair and sourdough soldiers roasted black carrot. The prime cuts consist of salt baked turnips and wild mushroom ragu, filling in as a substantial substitute for the traditional turkey dinner. Additionally, if you have left room for a sweet ending to the feast, the menu includes a variety of deserts including lemon curd and the magnum Viennetta parfait.

2 Christmas feast at Smith & Wollensky
Smith & Wollensky has been serving up the finest steak in America since it opened its doors in New York in 1977. Last year, Smith & Wollensky launched its first London site in the historic Grade II-listed Adelphi Building just off the Strand, and is now offering up its first festive menu. This Christmas, the restaurant is offering a three-course feast featuring an array of meat and seafood dishes and priced at £58 per person. It’s for all of those wishing to swap the traditional turkey for lashings of delicious red meat. Ranging from Beetroot Wellington to Roast Free-Range Norfolk Bronze Turkey, this meal unites meat lovers and vegetarians alike. When it comes to desert, the menu allows each person to choose two of their liking from a list of delicious treats including baked cherry sponge and old Irish Christmas pudding.

This year, each of the twelve days of Christmas will be extra special at Gunpowder Restaurant. On 12 December and each day leading up to the 25th, Head Chef Nirmal Save will be showcasing a one-night-only festive special. Gunpowder has put its unique twist on a selection of dishes that combine the distinctive Indian flavours and home-style cooking of the restaurant with classic Christmas favourites. Set within the exquisite surroundings of the Grade II-listed Old Westminster Library, The Cinnamon Club has an array of private rooms to host the perfect Christmas gathering. The team has compiled six separate festive menus for guests to choose from, the meals range from £35 to £75 per person. If you’re feeling especially festive, the signature Cinnamon Bellini and Aromatic Fire are sure to ensure that you enjoy your Christmas meal. On Christmas Day, opt for a four-course Indian-inspired feast for £100 per person. Start with Keralan style lobster soup flamed with cognac, Tandoori breast of Scottish pheasant with soola masala or Roast Kentish lamb fillet with nutmeg. For the main course, the courses vary from vegetarian options such as hyderabadi style biryani of root vegetables with boorani raita to the meaty option consisting of slow-braised Herdwick milk-fed lamb shoulder.

Especially for Christmas, seafood and oyster specialist The Wright Brothers is serving some ultra-indulgent feasts at their Soho and Spitalfields restaurants. The menus feature starters like tempura prawn with sriracha mayonnaise & kimchi, Sea bass ceviche, and roasted Delica pumpkin with creamed goats’ curd. Main courses such as the remarkably fresh whole roasted market fish of the day and the seafood stew consisting of an array of seafood including salmon, mussels and tiger prawns live up to the Wright Brothers exceptional seafood reputation. 108 Brasserie in Marylebone is celebrating the holidays with a decadent Christmas Day menu. Executive Chef Russell Ford is cooking up a five-course feast for £105 per person. Choose from a selection of classic British dishes and seasonal delights including the crab and spring onion risotto and the light and refreshing burrata that sits atop a heritage carrot salad. Main entrees such as the Caldecott farm free range bronze turkey is served with traditional Christmas sides like stuffing and cranberry jelly. Decadent desserts and cheese will also be served as a part of the meal. The Christmas Day Menu is available on Saturday 25 December from 12noon-10.30pm. You can also enjoy the Festive Afternoon Tea up until Christmas Eve for just £28 per person. The Christmas Party menu priced at two course for £52 and three courses for £58 is full of rich luxurious foods such as the Frealy farm smoked duck to start. The roasted pumpkin velouté with foie gras and the ham hock terrine with clementine marmalade starts off the meal with a bang. The feast continues with choices from the sea to the more traditional meaty meal, these main courses include sea bass with shellfish and tarragon veloute as well as roast Norfolk bronze turkey with sprouts and roasted vegetables. For the merry month of December, Diciannove is serving a choice of two Christmas menus created by head chef Alessandro Bay, who spent 10 years crafting his skills under Giorgio Locatelli. The Piccolo Menu priced at £37 offers creative starters such as the duck and orange pâté and the vegetation option of pumpkin soup with crushed amaretto biscuits and balsamic vinegar. Similarly, the main courses provide three dietary inclusive options such as the paupiette of turkey with a carrot purée and roasted potatoes, the pan fried salmon with sautéed spinach and the vegetarian option of conchiglie pasta with red pepper pesto and basil. The Grande Menu, priced at £42, places emphasis on sharing with the Il Supremo Italian meat and cheese platter. Main courses that ensure your desire for a true Christmas meal will be satisfied are the slow cooked lamb bathed in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and the monkfish prepared with roasted potatoes and a yellow pepper purée. The Lebanese canteen that offers fresh, affordable Middle Eastern cuisine with flair has created a festive menu with a twist for their Kingston branch.
