Famed Portobello Road bakery, Pearl & Groove, has teamed up with Bluebird to create a floral-themed afternoon tea for Chelsea Flower Show that pays homage to the royal wedding. Flavours from Harry and Meghan’s show-stopping wedding cake will be replicated, including elderflower, lemon and gin, as well as pistachio and rose water. The elegant Pearl & Groove cakes will be featured on a tea stand alongside poppy seed and lemon cupcakes; three-tiered Victoria sponge cakes; traditional scones with jam and cream; and a selection of delicate sandwiches. Available from 23-27 May in Bluebird’s sunny courtyard, and can be ordered with a glass of champagne, pot of tea a Botanist Islay Gin cocktail, made with infused rose petal, maraschino and rhubarb liqueur, lemongrass cordial, fresh thyme, raspberries and rose aromatic topped with rose sparkling wine. 2 Balthazar x FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea
The Balthazar x FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea brings together the skill of Balthazar’s Head Pastry Chef Régis Beauregard, with the floral expertise of FLOWERBX CEO Whitney Hawkings. The duo has collaborated to create cakes in the shape of seasonal blooms in beautiful FLOWERBX hues, expertly paired with flavours to complement the flowers. Treats include an apple and blackberry tulip, coconut and yuzu hydrangea, salted caramel anemone, lemon and blueberry dahlia and Balthazar raspberry rose. 3 Acqua di Parma Afternoon Tea at Baglioni Hotel London 
To celebrate of this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, Baglioni Hotel London is partnering with Iconic Fragrance brand Acqua di Parma to create an afternoon tea inspired by the fresh and elegant, citrus-based Colonia, which has been seducing customers for over 100 years. Alongside a selection of scones and sandwiches with an Italian twist, the Acqua di Parma Afternoon Tea will feature colourful treats inspired by the Colonia’s ingredients and complex bouquet, including Colonia lemon cake; lavender meringue with bergamot cream; floral verbena and lime zest panna cotta with rose coulis; Sicilian cannoli with candied orange; violets of Parma with edible flowers; and pistachio tuiles. Priced £47pp, with a complimentary sample of Colonia during the month of May.

4 Royal Lancaster London’s Bloomin’ Brilliant Afternoon Tea
Royal Lancaster London’s Bloomin’ Brilliant Afternoon Tea includes sweet delicacies like strawberry tart with lime curd and baby basil; Valhrona chocolate flower pots with budding crystallised violets and a lemon and elderflower sable dome. Savoury seedlings include Royal Lancaster home-smoked salmon roses; a sunflower-seed choux bun filled with Coronation chicken; plus a warm tartlet of Somerset brie, Royal Lancaster honey and red onion chutney. There’s also scones served with jam and Cornish clotted cream, plus a ‘Flowering Tea’ for the table. Served in the Hyde Lobby Bar from 2pm-5.30pm until 30 June priced £35pp, or £45 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Champagne and £55 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Impérial Rosé Champagne.

5 The Royal Garden Hotel’s Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea
The Royal Garden Hotel is serving a special Chelsea Flower Show afternoon tea in the Park Terrace Restaurant, which overlooks Kensington Gardens. The seasonal tea will include a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and floral-inspired deserts including jasmine tea macarons, lemon, thyme and chocolate operas, elderflower panna cottas, mini honey and lavender cheesecakes, and strawberry and rhubarb tarts. You’ll also have the choice of 15 fragrant teas such as the Peach Flower Blooming Jewel, Gardenia and Snow White (the hotel’s signature White Peony tea).  Available at the Park Terrace restaurant from 14-27 May priced £31pp or £41 including a glass of Champagne and balsamic-drizzled strawberries.
